Arts & Crafts Moonstone and Montana Sapphire Brooch, Tiffany & Co. , Louis Comfort Tiffany, c. 1915, centering a navette-shape moonstone measuring approx. 24.00 x 9.50 6.50 mm, framed by circular-cut Montana sapphires and scrolling wirework and applied beads, 18kt gold and platinum mount, lg. 1 1/2 in., signed. Note: A similar brooch probably made under the direction of Meta Overbeck is pictured in Louis Comfort Tiffany at Tiffany & Co. , by John Loring, p. 74. A couple of very minor surface scratches to moonstone. Good adularescence, pleasant but not strong blue. Sapphires with minor facet wear. Othewise without issues.
