Françoise Nicolas Martinet (French, 1725-1804) Lot of Eight Hand-colored Ornithological Prints , from Histoire naturelle des oiseaux . Seven signed in the plates, Heron huppé, de Mahon unsigned, four with handwritten inscriptions. Hand-colored etchings on laid paper, plate marks to 10 x 8 1/4 in. (25.4 x 21.0 cm), framed. Condition: Toning, subtle rippling and handling creases to varying degrees, some with minor foxing, not examined out of frames. Sheets trimmed to 11 x 9 inches.
