Needlework Sampler, "Ann Brightmore Was Born November 7, 1837 And Finished this Work November 18 1846 Aged 10 Years," worked in wool yarn and silk threads on a linen ground with a pious verse over assorted motifs including flowers, animals, angels, fanciful building, and a man and woman, enclosed in a scrolled floral border, (not examined out of frame, toning, minor stitch losses particularly at bottom border, stains, brown corrosion, some ground breaks), 23 x 22 1/2 in. , in a period ogee frame with gilt liner.
