George III Mahogany Kneehole Desk, third quarter 18th century, rectangular top with rounded corners, with central pull-out writing slide over long drawer, pedestals fitted with three drawers each, centered by an ogee-shaped skirt, and recessed cupboard door, on ogee bracket feet, ht. 33, wd. 35, dp. 19 in. horizontal shrinkage cracks to top (one running approx. 1/2 the wdith of top). piece of trim needs reattaching to one of the left front legs. escutcheon missing from cupboard door. age typical scuffs and edge gouges.
