Regency Provincial Mahogany and Inlay Tallcase Clock, early 19th century, the hood with swan's neck cresting centered and flanked by brass finials, arched door flanked by ring-turned columns, the face painted with phases of the moon and bucolic village scenes, signed Tootle, Eccles, with two-train chiming movement with subsidiary seconds dials, the case with oak door, on oak-paneled plinth base, with line inlay throughout, ht. 95 3/4 in. Rear feet replaced, and front feet partially restored. Left finial screw coming through underside of cornice. Chips and losses to veneers and face of hood door. Base with vertical shrinkage cracks to front and left sides. Minor small shrinkage lines throughout. Case with veneer lines above door. Age-typical craquelure and a few flakes to dial.
