Four George III Silver Tablewares, London, Hester Bateman, maker, comprising a pear-shaped creamer, 1777, ht. 4 1/2, and three tablespoons, 1778, engraved with crest, lg. 6 7/8, sold together with an unmarked mote spoon, possibly Continental, lg. 9 5/8 in., (5 items total), approx. 4.5 troy oz. total. Provenance: Estate of Margret Craver, notable silversmith and important figure in the American Studio Jewelry Movement. Craver was a vocal advocate for the craft of modern silversmithing. overall minor age wear. marks ok. engraving to tablespoons a little worn.
