George III Silver Basket, London, 1798, Peter and Ann Bateman, makers, boat-shaped, with reeded rim, and border bright cut with band of roundels and drapery swags, with reeded swing handle, and slightly flaring foot, engraved to interior with mottoed coat of arms, lg. 13 5/8 in., approx. 27 troy oz. minor age wear. some wear to crest. makers' mark partially rubbed at body, but clear on handle.
