Three Piece George III Silver Tea Set, London, 1810, Paul Storr, maker, comprising ovoid teapot with flat lid, urn-form hot water pot, and ovoid creamer, with gadrooned waist bands and lobing to base of bodies, the pot spouts decorated with anthemia, teapot and creamer with ovolo upper rim and reeded footrim, all with entwined snake-form handles (the pots in ivory, the creamer in silver), engraved with elaborated mottoed crest, and small gartered crest topped by an earl's coronet, hot water pot ht. 9 5/8 in., approx. 88 troy oz. teapot: repaired bend at lid at hinge. missing a small section of stem on the ivory lid finial. wear to tip of spout. old repair to ivory at base of handle. small plug, or natural flaw in ivory at top of handle. engraved with coat of arms to one side, crest to other. hot water pot: engraved with coat of arms only. a few scattered light pinpoints. creamer: engraved with crest only. All with some age surface wear, including some wear to engraving. marks good throughout.
