Chinese Export Silver Cup and Cover, marked A. Lock, late 19th/early 20th century, campagna urn-form, with foliate rim and loop handles, engraved at neck with acanthus scrolls and small monogram, bulbous portion of body chased and embossed with figures at various pursuits, on ovoid stem and round silver foot, the lid with dragon head finial, full ht. 11 3/8 in., approx. 42 troy oz. modified from a hot water kettle: with small oval let-in piece of silver at front of cup, near base of bulbous portion of body, filling in the spot where a tap would have been. tarnish. marked "A.Lock" in rectangular punch to inner rim of foot.
