German Silver Inkstand, early 18th century, possibly Leipzig, maker's mark TK, oblong, with molded rim, mounted with an inkwell, and fitted with a matching sander, on small scrolled feet, bearing presentation engraving dated 1728, wd. 8 1/2 in., approx. 11 troy oz. Note: Presentation inscription in Dutch from "Princes Maria Louisa" and dated 1728. the inkwell repaired to base of body and lid fixed in place. stand and sander with some age wear, and light wear to engraving. Engraving possibly slightly later. sold with two sterling pen-shaped pointers.
