Set of Four Towle Modernist Sterling Candlesticks, c. 1950, designed by Marion Anderson Noyes, with tapered cylindrical sconces on slender serpentine stems with black plastic tips, weighted, two ht. 8 1/4, two ht. 9 3/4 in. Note: The designer, Marion Anderson Noyes (1907-2002) worked at Towle starting in the 1930s when she was recruited directly from college by Towle's head designer. She was a freelance designer for the firm between 1944 and 1955, during which time she designed these candlesticks. good.
