Pair of KPM Porcelain Plaques After Works by Gerrit Dou, Germany, late 19th century, each with a Dutch genre scene, one depicting Old Woman Unreeling Threads (the original in The Hermitage, St. Petersburg), the other with an elderly fishmonger peeling apples, signed l.r. "CDOW 1607," approx. 10 x 12 1/2 in.; mounted in contemporary giltwood frames. Each in very good condition throughout with no cracks, chips or restorations.
