Alberto Prosdocimi (Italian, 1852-1925) Panorama of Venice Signed "A. Prosdocimi.F" l.l., titled "Panorama.../No. 2" in pen on the reverse u.r. Watercolor on paper, 11 3/8 x 17 1/4 in. (28.9 x 43.9 cm), framed. Condition: Mat burn to edges of sheet, subtle rippling, mild foxing, toning to the reverse, hinged to the back mat in three places along the top edge on the reverse. The title on the reverse is partially obscured by one of the tape hinges. Water staining to mat did not affect the sheet. The mat board backing is inscribed on the reverse for an apparently unrelated event advertising a memorial exhibition benefit for the Fund for Austrian Artists and Musicians in New York featuring the graphic work of Ferdinand Schmutzer (1870-1928).
