Attributed to John Brett (British, 1830-1902) Road by the Sea. Signed or inscribed "J. Brett" l.r., identified "John Brett" on the front of the fra Oil on canvas, 7 x 10 in. (17.8 x 25.5 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, abrasion with puncture, varnish inconsistencies, surface grime. The abrasion measures 2.0 cm and is located center left. Retouch in the sky and in l.r. corner. Possible old repair in center. There is a faded canvas stamp on the reverse, possibly "REEV..."
