Pair of Covered Stem Soup Bowls, China, 19th century, the exterior of each stem bowl enameled with a crane in a lotus to one side, inscription to the reverse, dated yihai year, the cover decorated en suite, inscribed (translated as) "In the style of Bada Shanren," the interial of the bowl with an iron-red mark to the base, ht. 5 3/4, dia. 6 5/8 in. Provenance: Purchased from China Trading Company in Singapore in 1956 (paperwork) and in a private collection ever since. Good condition
