Bronze Vase, China, 19th century, of archaic drinking vessel gu shape, cast with bands of stylized taotie masks on a key-fret ground, separated by short flanges, the flaring neck with a band of cicada blades above a narrow band of confronting kui dragons, ht. 11 3/4 in. Characters written in ink to the inside of the foot. Mouth broken off and re-soldered, on the back there are number of holes through the body.
