Wedgwood Dark Blue Jasper Dip Covered Tobacco Jar and Tray, England, c. 1869, applied white relief depictions of men smoking to the cover and side of the jar, putti smoking to the tray, with an insert weight, impressed marks, tray dia. 11 3/4 in. Cover: Firing lines to the area of match strike and to the relief; 1/2" and 2" hairlines. Jar: One side with a 2" hairline, the other with a Y shaped 2 1/2" hairline (each primarily visible on the inside). Tray: Surface sheen to the blue do to usage; firing lines to all relief; 1 3/8" footrim chip Weight: In good condition.
