William IV Mahogany Four-tier Whatnot, c. 1830, bearing paper label for Hammonds Furniture Warerooms, the hinged top with bookrest, with three shelves, the central shelf with single drawer with reeded pulls, all with turned balustroid uprights, raised on reeded flattened ball feet on casters, ht. 51 1/2, wd. 24, dp. 18 1/4 in. The top with a split along the back (this piece needs to be reattached). Age typical shrinkage, with a small shrinkage crack along wood grain of the second shelf, at the left rear upright. Overall minor age wear, including scuffs and surface scratching. Finish somewhat sunned, with an orange hued tone.
