George III Seven-piece Desk Set, c. 1815. mahogany stand with single drawer and two pen wells, with reserves for five paneled and cut colorless glass bottles with sterling silver lids, and a small taperstick, hallmarked London, 1815, Robert Hennell, maker, taperstick ht. 1 1/4, stand 14 1/4 x 9 5/8 in. one glass inkpot with a starburst crack. Two glass pots with small base rim chips. Three of the silver lids bearing only lion passant; the smallest silver lid unmarked. Chamberstick bearing full set of marks. wood stand with some shrinkage. Chip at edge of the front pen well, and chips at edges of drawer. Finish a little thin. Likely refinished. Overall age wear.
