Five Dutch Tobacco Boxes, Holland, 18th century, each brass and copper, and with incised decoration, four oval, lg. 5 to 6 1/4, and an octagonal, lg. 6 3/8 in. all with significant age surface wear, making many of the inscriptions illegible. repairs/damages as follow: one with hinge repair and a tear to rear side panel; one with breaks to hinge pin and wear/holes along foot rim; one with losses to hinge, metal tears, losses to base edge, and old repairs visible to interior; one with old hinge strengthening repair, and repaired lid tear.
