Pair of Regency Giltwood Convex Mirrors, early 19th century, the convex mirror set into round frame with ebonized inner slip and mounted with spherules, topped by basket of fruit and flowers and acanthus scrolls, the base with pendant acanthus, lg. 39, wd. 19 in. one with cracks to ebonised inner frame and with small losses in these areas. Shrinkage cracks to frame and associated hairlines to gilding. Scattered chips to gilding. Missing one of the fruits from the basket at crest. The other with shrinkage cracks and repaired break to basket at crest. Both with scattered gilt gesso losses and some age darkening.
