British Provincial Mahogany Welsh Dresser, late 18th/early 19th century, the upper section with plain cornice over three open shelves with two split baluster pilasters, the projecting lower section fitting with central bank of four drawers with two further split balusters, further flanked by two drawers over cupboard doors enclosing shelves, all with bone shield-shaped escutcheons, on ogee bracket feet, full ht. 79 3/4, wd. 64 1/4, dp. 19 1/2 in. age typical scuffs, scratches, and light shrinkage cracks. toe pieces at base of upper shelving with holes, possibly from old screws or finials (now gone); small spot cracking at top to right toe. old area of gouging above lower central drawer.
