Victorian Mahogany Convertible Writing Table, 19th century, rectangular, gilt-tooled leather top with hinged ratcheting device allowing use as a drafting table of various heights, with single drawer with further leather writing surface, one side with pull-out slide, on paneled square section tapering legs topped by fluting, and ending in brass caps and casters, ht. closed 30 3/4, wd. 33 7/8, dp. 23 in. leather top with some scuffins, scratches, light staining, and sunning. Minor edge nicks and surface scratching overall. Leather surface within door with scratches. French polished.
