Set of Six Louis XVI-style Giltwood Side Chairs, late 19th century, oval upholstered back, with overupholstered and shaped seat, on fluted, circular-section tapering legs, full ht. 35 1/4, seat ht. 17 1/2 in. all with wear/loss to the gilding, one somewhat more so than the other five (especially to skirt). Four with cracks and/or small repairs to the base of the backrest. Four with some looseness in the joinery. All with some opening of the joinery, particularly at the crest. two with edge chips. the green velvet upholstery with some fading/discoloration.
