Two Staffordshire Black Basalt Teapots and Covers, England, early 19th century, each oval, an Eastwood with swan finial and paneled sides with figures in relief, lg. 10 5/8 in.; and a Yates with bands of foliage flanking a central arabesque floral band, lg. 11 in.; impressed marks. Eastwood: 1/4" chip and several slight nicks to cover rim. Pot with three chips to inner rim (where cover sits). Yates: Finial repaired at join; slight chips to spout lip.
