Three Black Basalt Items, England, c. 1800, a Birch teakettle and cover, cylindrical shape with spaniel finial and classical relief between bands of fluting, ht. 7 1/2 in.; an E. Mayer cream jug of barrel shape with ribbed body, ht. 3 3/4 in.; and a Leeds Pottery covered oval sugar bowl with swan finial, classical figures with foliate borders in relief, ht. 5 3/4 in.; impressed marks. Birch kettle: Missing bale handle; slight flake under cover rim; one handle support repaired with metal banding. Mayer jug: Very good condition throughout. Leeds sugar: Cover with shallow rim chips/flakes; bowl with a 3/4" rim chip.
