Three oil on ivory miniature portraits of the Sisson family, ca. 1839 , comprising Silas Sisson, 1801-1887, Long Island, NY, Lydia Ball Davis Sisson, 1805-1887, and Augusta Le Sisson, born 1835, each including a lock of hair, 2 1/2" x 1 3/4", together with a daguerreotype of John Davis Estabrook, 1837-1918, the family biographer, 2 1/4" x 1 3/4". Provenance - Descended in the Peirce-Nichols family of Salem, Massachusetts to the current owner.
