Francisco de Goya (Spanish, 1746-1828) Correccion, plate 46 from LOS CAPRICHOS, 1799, third edition published in 1868 (Harris, 81). Identified within the plate. Etching and aquatint on paper, plate size 8 1/2 x 5 7/8 in. (21.5 x 14.8 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle toning and soiling, not examined out of frame. Out of the frame the sheet measures 12 1/8 x 8 1/2 in. It has repairs at all for corners. There is white cloth tape and tape residue along the upper edge on the reverse. The upper margin has a series of vertical creases near the edge, the are visible due to soiling. The sheet is stained, and shows water damage along the right side.
