Benjamin Osro Eggleston (American, 1867-1937) Young Woman in a Theater Box Signed and dated "Benjamin Eggleston 91" l. r., with a Newcomb-Macklin Co. label on the back of the frame. Oil on canvas mounted to Masonite, 10 1/8 x 14 1/8 in. (25.7 x 35.8 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, craquelure. Retouch under sitter's right hand over an old paint loss measuring about 3/4 x 1/4 in. overall. Also possible old retouch along the sitter's left cheek. Craquelure overall is stable but more pronounced in the sitter's shoulder.
