John Francis Murphy (American, 1853-1921) Twilight Signed "J. Francis Murphy-" l.l., identified on a presentation plaque, a label from Foster Brothers, Boston, affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas, 9 x 15 in. (22.9 x 38.1 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, craquelure, surface grime. Craquelure throughout, fine retouch over the network of craquelure to sky area, cleaned around signature l.l., inscribed "G. Wigglesworth" in pencil on a label affixed to the frame verso.
