Boston School, 19th/20th Century Portrait of a Woman in Pearls Unsigned. Oil on canvas, 50 x 36 in. (127.0 x 91.4 cm), unframed. Condition: Lined, retouch, craquelure, minor surface grime. Craquelure throughout, dabs of retouch throughout but predominately to u.l. and u.r. quadrants with the largest area to the background of the u.l. quadrant spanning 6 x 1/2 in. along top edge, the work appears to date to the 1920s. Provenance: Acquired at a Connecticut regional auction approximately two years ago.
