Large Hannah Davis Wallpaper-covered Wood Bandbox, Jaffrey, New Hampshire, c. 1831, covered oval wooden box, with pink, white, and green varnishes depicting the figures of Napoleon and one of his officers conversing in a field, against a yellow ground, with white scrolled foliate and floral borders, printed maker's label affixed to interior lid, lined with newspapers from the Massachusetts Spy with ads dated 1831, (wear, stains, fading, losses), ht. 16, dia. 19 in. The cover has a split down the middle, thone end has a bout a 6 in. angled crack at the top.
