Charles H. Clair (French, 1860-1930) Shepherdess with Flock Signed "C H. CLAIR" l.r. Oil on canvas, 36 x 28 1/2 in. (92.0 x 72.5 cm), framed. Condition: Tears, craquelure, surface grime. Large irregular tear at left and into the center of the canvas, measuring 17 inches overall, and located 12 inches up from the lower left corner. A second, smaller L-shaped tear on the left edge, measuring 1 3/4 in. overall, located 16 inches up from the lower left corner. Prominent but stable craquelure.
