Russian Icon with Silver Riza depicting the Kazan Mother of God, the lightly gold-washed and engraved riza hallmarked for Moscow, maker's mark EK, Aristarkhov assayer, velvet-backed board, 7 1/8 x 6, together with a shadow box frame, frame size 14 x 15 1/4 in. metal tear to riza above Christ's head, and extending to right edge, with halo becoming unattached from ground. age wear to metal. felabite scratch and small gouge near edge of riza at Christ's face.
