Carved Ivory Tankard, Continental, 18th/19th century, the hinged lid with urn-form finial and decorative carving, body relief carved with a scene of soldier making camp, on foot carved with oak leaves and acorns, with scrolled thumbpiece and handle with man's head, ht. 7 1/4 in. Handle affixed with adhesive. Numerous shrinkage cracks. Repair to dog's hindquarters by bottom of handle. Scattered nicks and chips, including one 1/2 in. to lid.
