Louis XV-style Vernis Martin Box on Stand, France, 19th century, the rectangular top with openwork gallery over bombe case with hinged door revealing velvet-lined interior, decorated with scenes of putti at various pursuits, above medial shelf, on cabriole legs ending in hoof feet, ht. 44, wd. 23 1/2, dp. 14 1/4 in. Loss to gallery crest, vernis martin panels with craquelure, darkening, and scattered loss, scattered chips and loss to giltwood.
