Two Framed British Needlework Samplers, one dated 1734, stitched with central prayer plaque, surrounded by motifs of vases of flowers, birds, trees, and a rosette vine, by Amanda Pullen, dated April 26, sight size 18 x 13 7/8, frame size 19 7/8 x 15 3/4; the other with central plaque stitched with a prayer, within flowering vine surround, stitched by Mary Minisie, Honiton, November 21, 1817, sight size 15 5/8 x 12 1/2, frame 18 7/8 x 15 3/4 in. Pullen sampler: Very thin with some running of green throughout; rpimarily to the wide border; edges with holes surrounding border and with some areas of loss. "To My Soul" sampler: Very thin with considerable insect damage to lower border; border with scattered staining and discoloration.
