Mid-century Modern Custom Wood Veneer and Metal Dining Table and Four Benches, 1962, rhomboid-form deep veneered wood top with cut ends on square U-shape black metal bar base, accompanied by four conforming benches, (wear and veneer loss), respective ht. 27 1/2, approx. lg. 74 3/4 in. Note: The interior of the home that this was in was designed by Robert Bentson Rowe c. 1962; many of the built-ins were by him, and it is possible that this was commissioned at the same time. Provenance: Sold to benefit the Harvard Conservation Trust, Harvard, Massachusetts.
