Bruce Crane (American, 1857-1937) Spring Landscape with Cottage and Flowering Trees Signed "BRUCE CRANE" l. r. Oil on canvas, 14 x 20 in. (35.5 x 50.7 cm), framed. Condition: Broad wash of retouch throughout the sky, craquelure, surface grime. Provenance: Through the collection of Collier Whittemore Baird (1888-1977), New Jersey and New York; present owner by family descent. Small loss to the u.l. quadrant measuring approx. 1/8 x 1/8 in.; thin wash of retouch to most of the sky area of u.l. and u.r. quadrant; no additional condition issues to report.
