$919
Manner of Sir Anthony van Dyck (Flemish, 1599-1641) Portrait of a Young Lady Unsigned. Oil on canvas, 31 1/4 x 23 3/8 in. (79.2 x 59.5 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch, craquelure. N.B. The painting at hand is thought to be from the early 19th century. The painter shows a familiarity with the portraits of Anthony van Dyck, as represented by the costume and pearls which are very close to the Portrait of the Duchess of Croy in the De Young Museum in San Francisco and to the Portrait of Maria de Tassis in the Liechtenstein Collection in Vaduz. Retouch to fill craquelure overall, although less pronounced on the sitter's face and chest. .
