Morris Cole Graves (American, 1910-2001) Hibernation , 1954 Signed and dated "Graves '54" l. r., identified on a label from Willard Gallery, New York, affixed to the backing. Graphite on paper, sheet size 15 x 20 in. (38.1 x 50.8 cm), framed. Condition: Minor toning. Toning and rippling to paper. One minute tack hole to far right edge. Paper is unmounted, floating freely against the paperboard backing, with no evidence of old hinges. Inscribed "504-92" in pencil on the reverse.
