James Hiroshi Suzuki (American, b. 1932) Love Affair in Belgian Congo Signed "Suzuki" l.l.; dated, signed, and titled "1959/..." on the reverse; identified on a a label from Graham gallery, New York, affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 50 x 50 in. (127.0 x 127.0 cm), framed. Condition: Scattered minor abrasions, surface grime. There is a bit of foreign paint in the upper left corner which appears to have been left there by the artist or by whomever toned the frame. Stretcher inscribed "J. Suzuki" inside of right hand bar.
