Rowena Fruth (American, 1896-1983) Iris III , c. 1940. Signed, inscribed, and titled "Rowena Fruth..." on the reverse of the mount, 1943 exhibition label from the Camera Club of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on the reverse. Gelatin silver print, image/sheet size 19 3/8 x 15 5/8 in. (49.1 x 39.6 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Minute surface losses (primarily u.l.), bloom/clouding to image near edges, wear and losses to mount. There is a grouping of tiny abrasions/losses in the image u.l. The mount is stained and has obvious wear. There is silvering out to the image near the edges, primarily (though not exclusively) near the lower edge.
