English Mahogany Slant-lid Desk, early 19th century, of typical form, the lidded interior with leather-inset writing surface and fitted with inlaid central prospect door, eleven drawers with ivory or bone pulls, four compartments, and two secret drawers, case fitted with four long graduated drawers, on bracket feet, 42 1/4 x 41 7/8 x 21 5/8 in. Leather and brasses replaced, old refinish, age typical dents, nicks, and scratches. to horizontal cracks to right side of lid (larger measuring approx. 13 in.), two ivory/bone pulls broken, one drawer stuck, replaced interior drawers, replaced back feet.
