Federal Carved and Inlaid Mahogany Shield-back Armchair, probably New England, c. 1790, the back carved with plume of feathers centered on a pierced splat further carved with rosettes and drapery, converging on a demilune fan, (imperfections), ht. 38 1/2, seat ht. 18 in. glue blocks replaced, odd stain to underside secondary wood, small patch to a rear leg.
