Hand-painted Fan, America, late 19th century, circular paperboard fan with applied light blue silk trim with watercolor decoration, one side depicting a little girl wearing a hat and carrying a basket of flowers, inscribed "Bon Jour; " the reverse showing the girl asleep with her head resting on a stair and inscribed "Bon Soir;" with a conforming box, the interior inscribed "Painted and given to me by Sylvia Watson," (minor toning and foxing), fan 11 x 8 in.
