William and Mary style rectangular dressing stool or vanity bench with needlepoint cover of two birds in an outdoor garden setting with flowering trees in a rectangular medallion, additional motif of scrolled foliates and flowers, all on brown ground. Walnut frame with X form cross supports connecting to four turned legs. Height 17 inches, width 22.5 inches, depth 17 inches. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
