Jacobean Oak Side Chair, England, late 17th century, of typical form, with openwork scrolled crest over caned back flanked by turned stiles, caned seat, block- and ring-turned legs and stretchers, scrolled front stretcher, and S-scroll feet, seat ht. 19 in. Scattered worming. Usage wear to seat rail, feet, stretcher and edges. Chips and losses to stretcher and seat rail. Bracket that secures caned seat has been repaired on two sides and is coming unglued.
