George II Silver Coffeepot, London, 1733, Benjamin Godfrey, maker, tapered cylindrical body with stylized floral finial to domed lid, with large stylized foliate-engraved monogram to one side with mythical beast ornament, armorial engraved surround to spout, carved wooden handle, and reeded base, ht. 9 1/2 in., approx. 21.1 troy oz. Considerable denting to back side; small dent on the front; small dent to cover; Scattered usage wear throughout; finial appears to be a replacement.
