Continental School, 19th century. Two companion hand carved and stained oak wood lion's head wall plaque fragments. Each depicting a lion with mouth open and roaring, sharp lion's paws stylistically underneath maned head. Lions above scrolled foliate decoration. Height approximatley 14.75 inches, width 9.75 inches, depth 3.4 inches. Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
